Sadia Crosby, owner of OystHERS Sea Farm, along with her sister Lauren, are lobstermen’s daughters from Georgetown Island, Maine.

At the end of 2021 their father, Captain Angus McGregor Crosby (their best friend), passed away unexpectedly; leaving behind his three daughters, wife of twenty nine years, and his lobster traps and lobster boats still in the water. It was during this time period that the duo decided to fulfill one of their sister-dreams: the opening of Oysthers Raw Bar & Bubbly– a seasonal raw bar featuring Sadia’s own Oysthers and lobster rolls to support Georgetown’s local lobstermen. Oysthers will also be specializing in sparkling wine, mimosa flights, Busch Light, and non-alcoholic bubbly drinks.

Lauren & Sadia have visions of using Oysthers to do good work in their community by supporting females in rural Sagadahoc county. With Lauren’s experience as a traveling musician and teacher, and Sadia’s experience in aquaculture, the sisters will be using their space to not only sell Sadia’s own OystHERS, but to host local artists, songwriters, and educational opportunities. The sisters plan on providing an annual scholarship to a deserving student at Morse High School–a school where both they, their mother, grandmother, and great grandmother are alumni, and to ultimately celebrate the heritage and culture of the working waterfronts of Midcoast Maine.
